Spectrum Health Systems Appoints Three New Leaders to Support Provider Growth

Published On: April 27th, 2022

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., a not-for-profit organization providing a comprehensive continuum of addiction treatment throughout Massachusetts, announced three new hires today following its recent leadership expansion. Christina Cronin, James Luks, and George Timmons will assume critical roles in supporting the organization’s continued growth.

“The recent expansion of our leadership team was a crucial step in fortifying our infrastructure and these strategic new hires further strengthen our ability to operate efficiently and effectively, while providing the highest quality of care,” said Kurt Isaacson, President and CEO of Spectrum Health Systems. “In their respective positions, Christina, James and George will assist the organization in expanding our capacity to reach more clients through new and existing program offerings. We look forward to the incredible work we know they will do here.”

With backgrounds in financial planning, clinical services and program management, Christina, James and George bring extensive knowledge and varied expertise to their new roles at Spectrum, which will significantly assist the organization in broadening its reach through the programs, services and care it provides.

As Executive Director of Integrated Care, Christina will lead Spectrum’s value-based care and population health programming, assisting in the development of care models and services that will help establish the organization as a leader in health care reform. Christina’s work will integrate Spectrum’s service models with the evolving healthcare system. With over 15 years of experience in clinical social work and health care administration, Christina has been an integral member of the Taunton Community Crisis Intervention Team and Opiate Use Task Force and is passionate about community-based and interdisciplinary care. Christina is a graduate of Boston College and has championed numerous community-based behavioral health and substance use initiatives as a well-respected behavioral health leader.

James will manage Spectrum’s fiscal reporting and tax filings along with control and compliance functions. As Controller, James will be responsible for financial policies and creating meaningful and useful impact reports. James was previously the Director of Accounting at Sevita Health Care, a provider of home and community-based health and human services, where he led corporate and general state accounting. James received his bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Saint Anselm College and his master’s in Business Administration from Nichols College.

George will be implementing marketing and business development plans for the New England Recovery Center (NERC), a subsidiary of Spectrum Health Systems that offers detoxification and inpatient addiction treatment services to commercially insured and private pay clients. As Community Relations Manager, George will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships within the community to help grow the overall census at NERC. He will also represent the center at various local conferences and events. George has over 18 years of experience working in the substance use field, previously serving as the Program Director for the Washburn House in Worcester, Mass., where he was responsible for the supervision of a 26-bed program, and 48-bed clinical stabilization services program for clients dealing primarily with a substance use disorder.

All three of these new hires will be instrumental in paving the next wave of growth for the organization, enabling Spectrum to address unmet needs for addiction treatment services.
